We do really need a new machine but the boots were reduced from £60 to £9 and are gorgeous!!!!

Surely I can be forgiven for totally forgetting the WM and just coming home all excited?

What valiumredhead said Grin

LydiaWickham · 30/12/2011 14:47

YANBU - it's easily done.

LydiaWickham · 30/12/2011 14:48

BTW - where are these gorgeous £9 boots from, linky?

lilyliz · 30/12/2011 16:36

think how handy the boots will be when you are ankle deep in water from the washing machine.I'd say a good buy.

Bogeyface · 30/12/2011 18:15

Thank you, I have passed all this information onto DH, who incidentally said that he was sure I didnt need him with me to buy said machine (in other words he wanted to stay in and watch TV with the kids). So actually, its all his fault because if he had been there then I wouldnt have been distracted would I?!

Well tbh I don't think you can find a washing machine for £9 so you've saved LOADS of money by you coming home with the boots.

My kind of shopping too :o

AutumnWitch · 30/12/2011 18:58

Definitely YANBU. Some years ago we went out to buy a shelf and came back with a new kitchen Xmas Hmm

DilysPrice · 30/12/2011 19:02

The sales are on, this sort of thing happens. I went out for a toothbrush today and came back with a party frock for DD, a book, a side of smoked salmon and a board game.

Bogeyface · 30/12/2011 19:03

:o I did once go out to get new tyres and bought a new car, but I was pg at the time and put it down to hormones!

Have pointed out to DH that I have saved us £200 by buying the boots. He, v sarcastically, said that we can use the £200 in the laundrette when the machine finally packs in altogether. I was very happy and thanked him for that useful idea and for being so lovely, which was not the reaction he wanted! That'll learn him, the attempted-joy-sucker-outerer :o

Sounds like the pefect afternoon shopping to me! I've been told today I have too many pairs of boots! - WTF??? Confused Grin

I've got 12 pairs, not excessive I don't think! And it's my birthday in two weeks, for which I have earmarked two more pairs!! Grin

FairToMiddlin · 30/12/2011 19:24

I think you have had a very successful shopping trip Grin

I once went out to buy a pair of tights and ordered a three piece suite!

I also nipped into the supermarket in my lunch hour to get something for tea and come back with a new dress and a bottle of wine instead.
