Seeing as its not judgey, smug, elusive or needy? The neediness has been sorted thanks to cream slice purchasing.

Or does it have undertones of something sinister and make me look like i am craving attention.

I wiuld not want anyone to say "whats up hon" as i am not a "hon" kind of girl. As in honey or honorable.

one of my friends puts "hunni" in her updates.

That's so much worse than honey, hon, or hun.

H.U.N.N.I.

And she's a mature, intelligent, educated woman. Xmas Hmm

However, I digress. You can only refer to cream slice Thursday (although cream cake works better on an alliterative level) if you intend to buy cream slices on Thursdays other than just this one.

SantasCave · 29/12/2011 13:17

Ooo, my parents used to do cream slice Thursday too.

It's been AGES since I had a cream slice [craving]

WorraLiberty · 29/12/2011 13:19

I've done Tie me up Tuesday a couple of times but never cream slice Thursday

catgirl1976 · 29/12/2011 13:24

Please can I have a cream slice? Am starving and that sounds lovely

I have never called anyone hon, or any variation of the same

BastedTurkey · 29/12/2011 13:26

I'll have a strawberry tart - although lacks alliteration hunni

Dawndonna · 29/12/2011 13:41

It's baked potato Thursday here, only I didn't go to the market this morning. I will be in trouble at teatime!

ElizabethDarcy · 29/12/2011 13:47

Whip me Wednesday?

NinkyNonker · 29/12/2011 13:49

I feel like committing murder when called hun. I am not the hun. I bear no resemblance to the hun, or anything hun like. My sister does this. I think one of us was adopted, I expect it was her. My parents aren't hun like.

JaneBennet · 29/12/2011 13:59

Oh Chelsea Bun for me.

TheProvincialLady · 29/12/2011 14:05

I dunno. It smacks a bit of telling other people what to do with their lives. Why should it be cream slice Thursday just because you say so? Personally I dislike cream slices and too much cream gives me a stomach upset, so it would really offend me to be told publicly that the rest of the world is eating cream slices and I can't. Have some consideration. What about people who can't afford a cream slice this close to Christmas, or who have already started post-festive diets? Will no one think of them? Also I prefer "Hurrah".

Could you rework it to read "Hurrah - cream slice or other luxurious but inexpensive and non calorific food reward day?"

DingDongQuintessentialNight · 29/12/2011 14:06

Beats the fish balls in milk that I am about to start cooking.

mrsmaltesers · 29/12/2011 14:20

Binfullofresolutionsonthe1st · 29/12/2011 14:31

YABU because you haven't bought me one.

Envy

Now off to Greggs with you, then onto Gatwick, where you wil put said purchase onto the next Easyjet flight to Switzerland. I shall be drooling waiting in anticipation at the customs gate.

When I have received my flakey creamy package of delight then, and only then, will i deign it fitting to change your status to YANBU.

Oh and throw in a large hot sausage roll while you are there please for DH.

HexagonalQueenOfTheSummer · 29/12/2011 14:36

I think if you were to add "so I'm going to have a friend cull, who wants to stay?" on the end of that status then it might look attention seeking Wink
