There is a Gertrude Dumper buried in our local cemetery. It is inconceivable that that name could ever be elegant, in any context. However I am sure she was well-loved.

Ha, we need another 20 years and then all the names from the 30s-50s will be back - all the Maureens, Noreens, Eileens, Barbaras, Beryls, Pamelas, Patricias etc. And then another couple of generations after that we'll be back to the Sharons and Tracys.Xmas Grin
