The phrase 'Jesus Wept' came to mind. And I mean that in a totally respectful way. Shocking behaviour from all involved.

slavetofilofax · 28/12/2011 19:21

Im not particularly religious but this makes me Sad

Teaandcakeplease · 28/12/2011 19:24

Hmmm I'm sure back in Jesus day they were still arguing. The Hillelite and Shammaite Pharisee's had huge debates about points of the law back then, not to mention crucifying Jesus and them releasing Barabas a known criminal or Jesus overturning the tables in the church. Not to mention other stuff you read. I suppose 2000 or so years on people should know better and be more civilised but I'm sad to say I'm not surprised Sad

That's terrible. :(

GrimmaTheNome · 28/12/2011 19:25

When I heard the description on the radio it sounded farcically funny like something off Father Ted - priests hitting each other with brooms - but that video, they're really laying into each other Shock

No one was arrested Perhaps if they were this sort of behaviour would stop?

catsrus · 28/12/2011 19:31

similar things happen in the church of the holy sepulchre in Jerusalem at Easter - it's quite a common thing - lots of bad feeling between the different orthodox groups who are supposed to run the 'holy sites' - old story here
