She lives abroad and we hardly ever see her, she moved over there when I was 6 months pregnant with my eldest daughter who is now 8, and I also have an 8 month old baby who she has seen twice.
She comes over every so often and stays with me for about 3 weeks, doesn't lift a finger and doesn't spend a penny either :(
This time she decided to get the girls christmas presents from ebay, the one thing she bought for the baby was delivered while we were out and just left on the doorstep, she then claimed it wasn't delivered and got a refund from the poor bugger that she bought it from :(
I am furious about this, for one thing it's fraudulent, and another thing is that she hasn't actually bought her own grand daughter a christmas present :(

anyway, just wanted a moan really, bloody mothers :(

On the plus side, my MIL is lovely :)

I wouldn't keep the 'present'.
I'd give it back to her and tell her it's stolen and you don't want stolen stuff.

gallifrey · 27/12/2011 21:15

do you know I really feel like doing that, apart from it's actually a really good thing and the baby loves it...

Someone sold it because they were skint.

And got ripped off.

ChippingInLovesChristmasLights · 27/12/2011 21:18

If you keep it, it makes you as bad as her! Make her pay the seller for it.

reelingintheyears · 27/12/2011 21:19

In ten days time the baby won't remember what she had for christmas.

HecateGoddessOfTwelfthNight · 27/12/2011 21:21

That poor seller. You know, some people on here do a raise £X for christmas because they are so broke that it's the difference between christmas or no christmas.

Your relative is a cow.

If I was you, I would contact the seller myself and pay them. And I would tell the relative that I had and that I was disgusted with them for ripping someone off.

skybluepearl · 27/12/2011 21:42

your mother is mean! can you contact seller yourself?

gallifrey · 27/12/2011 23:02

I have no idea who she got it from, it's on her own ebay account

If you know her eBay ID you can find her in community and then check her recent transactions. Then you could contact the seller. Or you used to be able to. It's how I managed to find an eBay shop after a drunken conversation one night:)

thefroggy · 27/12/2011 23:20

Can you look at her feedback for the item, you'll see the seller's name.

thefroggy · 27/12/2011 23:20

cross post Smile

gallifrey · 28/12/2011 11:55

I don't even know her user ID for ebay :(

Post a description of the item on the eBay chat boards, and ask them to help you find the seller. They will be able to find out for you and you can arrange to pay them for the item.

TheRealMrsHannigan · 28/12/2011 12:15

I hope its not the tosser who claimed my item hadn't arrived, even though they started a complaint when it was ONE day after the estimated delivery date and ebay froze the funds, it came back to me as she wasnt in to recieve it and failed to collect from PO so I sent it by bloody courier so I know it arrived! In this time ebay bloody refunded her. The cow is ignoring me on ebay now!

Buyers like this make my blood boil.
