Just popped round to see my lovely neighbour, in her late 70s, to give her some Xmas presents.

She went to visit her husband's grave yesterday (he died around Christmas time) to find it had been vandalised. Vases smashed, flowers thrown about etc.

She hasn't told her family because she doesn't want to upset them. I offered to go up to help clear it all up but she says she spent yesterday doing it. Bastards. Bastards, bastards, bastards. I came home and almost burst into tears just thinking about it.

If I could find out who did it, I swear I would have no compunctions about beating the crap out of them. How is it possible to do such a thing?!?!

Have invited neighbour for drinks tomorrow as she is on her own until about 1pm. Just trying to work out what else I could do to help in some way.

YANBU for wanting to do that. Although if you did do it it would bring you down to the vandals level.

Why not ask the neighbour if there is anything she needs help with if you would like to.
