Ok after days of trying to get xmas prep done around a highly strung 9 yr old and a 10month old with a will of iron;i finally found the answer.Instead of trying to get them and dh to help tell him to take them out.

I was literally dancing around the room.

In the last half an hour i have washed the floors wrapped the rest of the pressies got the veg peeled and im now off for a bath before i fiddle with my balls and chipolatas Grin Happy farking Christmas.

I am Xmas Envy - all my nearest and dearest were due to be out today, giving me some precious time alone in the house. But it went a bit wrong. Pity, I'd been looking forward to uninterrupted time to either get on with stuff, or to "recharge".

ILoveSanta · 24/12/2011 12:29

You lucky, lucky woman! I have not even managed to get dressed. Have spent the morning doing washing, tidying up and procrastinating on the Internet pondering what else I need to be doing, whilst entertaining a four yr old!

valiumredhead · 24/12/2011 12:38

Dh is off today and has just taken ds out! I breathed a sigh of relief too as he is SO excited!

topsytinselturner · 24/12/2011 12:40

Am now looking hopefully at my DH , as I still have a cupboard full of the DCs pressies to wrap ...

harassedandherbug · 24/12/2011 12:47

My dh has just taken dd to Tesco for a couple of bits, I expect they'll be while Xmas Grin.

I'm "resting" as 40+2 preg and had a sleepless night. Bliss...

OldGreyWassailTest · 24/12/2011 12:47

My son has taken the dog for a walk to the beach, my brother is (as usual) upstairs on his computer. I am cooking a cake and a risotto at the same time (could be interesting). Guess who's cooking the curry tonight (not me!!).

ledkr · 24/12/2011 12:48

Im only just getting dressed. They have been spotted walking through the village both pushing prams looking sweet. It all an illusion tbh.

Its also our anniversary today.was a romantic day to get married but not for anniversarys as they get swallowed up.

I confess to the tiniest Bailey's, with milk.
Off to christingle and nativity at the church across the road later to see if we can supply a real baby in the manger Xmas Wink.

harassedandherbug · 24/12/2011 13:11

Oh and happy anniversary!!

ledkr · 24/12/2011 13:18

haha.We are going at 4.I dont think our 10 month old will provide any nativity reality as she crawls down the aisle and throws the prayer pillows about.
Best of luck. Ive been near birth twice at xmas.I started last year during a performance of Matilda at the RSC. I managed to hold off a couple more days.Grin

GwendolineMaryLacedwithBrandy · 24/12/2011 14:22
