By sending her a bunch of flowers to her work? She had no clue and just rang me sobbing thank you and I'm not sure what else she said Grin

I have a warm fuzzy feeling, not because she cried but because I cheered her up hehe

Think a few people have been hitting the sherry a little early today.
OP did a lovely thing for her Mum and was touched by her reaction so shared it on here.
I see no boast in the post.

NinkyNonker · 23/12/2011 15:40

God there are some unpleasant people around.

Scholes34 · 23/12/2011 17:13

It's pretty fundamental. I'm sure the OP appreciates the comment as much as her mum appreciated the flowers. The thread was pretty quite until then.

Lovely gesture OP.

and I agree with the corrections...sorry but I do.

Scholes34 · 23/12/2011 17:18

Oh, gosh, typo - pretty quiet, I meant to say! And I've not hit the sherry yet.

Selks · 23/12/2011 17:20

OP, that's lovely. It means a lot to mums to receive a gesture like that!

Liluri · 23/12/2011 19:36

Don't let anyone pop your bubble, MaryPoppinsMagic.
It's lovely that your mother was so delighted.

It is churlish and a bit smug for anyone to try and derail or dilute the tone of your thread.

Ineedacleaneriamalazyslattern · 23/12/2011 19:46

Don't let anyone spoil your warm fuzzies. I work for a florist and love the feeling when someone gets a lovely surprise.
Such a lovely thing to do Grin

Yuck yuck yuck to people who go around correcting grammar. I think they ought to of learnt some manners when they was youngerer.

unfitmother · 23/12/2011 19:55

Good for you OP. I miss my Mum so much, especially at times like this.

Loving the irony of Scoles' error! Xmas Grin

NinkyNonker · 23/12/2011 19:59

The correction was technically accurate, but lacking in manners or social skills. More appropriate in the classroom, which last I checked this isn't.
