to giggle at DD1s "lonely song"?

Aww, poor DD1. I know it is hard being 4, and friendships seem to come and go in an hour, and she seems to find it a bit harder than most to put herself forward and play with other children, but WIBU to giggle at this?

"X isn't my friend anymore. She played with Y today and told me she would play with me tomorrow, but tomorrow isn't a school day. I just sit by myself all day and sing my special lonely song and look at the rain outside..."

Bless her little cotton socks!

Does anyone else have a child who is destined to like The Smiths?

Lyrics please! She could make a fortune then they'll all want to be her friend.

Ah, they all have phases like this.

My DS is 4 and also "sings his despair" to me on a regular basis.
He literally sits there and sings
"i'm so sad.....
My life is so hard....
I'm so sad..."
repeat.
I think its absolutely adorable.
He also yells "denied" like Bill and Ted when he's not getting his way.
Kids are great.

OP and Gargula, you need to get them playing harmonicas and blues guitars, then they could make a fortune.

She won't tell me, because when she is with me, she isn't lonely.

Logical, I suppose.
