Is that wrong of me?

With our first born every night of his two week off he drank - ranging from a few pints to a lot of jack daniels - all in our house and I wasbt drinking, new mum, new baby and breast feeding and didn't want to.

The point of him being off is to care for you and the new baby and any other children in the house. It's not a holiday.

If he's working hard in the home during the day, fair enough, have a couple of drinks, but not enough so that he is hungover the next day or sleeps too heavily and can't help deal with the baby in the night.

Is what wrong of you? Your OH sounds like a prize twat, tbh. Does he generally drink or lot, or just when it would be really, really helpful if he was sober?

EricNordmanfirandMistletoe · 19/12/2011 19:39

YANBU to think that is out of order. He is supposed to be helping you! My DH can be a dick about booze but he stayed sober when DS was tiny so he could be in charge between about 9pm and 2am while I slept. Would you trust him to take care of the baby while you sleep? If not then he's being an utter dick.

Is this currently going on or some thing from the past?

Sounds like a wanker and I wouldn't stand for it. Selfish cunt.

Wow don't hold back!!!

He's not an alcoholic and it's too late it's happened now and bubs and I are okay.

One night I thought I might have to go back to hospital as was bleeding really heavily and I did snap it was lucky I didn't have to go cos he wouldn't have been fit to get me there!!

I need to speak my ground.
