a few weeks ago I ordered a long sleeved Cradle of Filth T shit in Large for ds. via play.com, seller was rarewaves
THEY SENT ME ....a extra large short sleeved avenged sevenfold T shirt.

now I get the Irony of that being my fave band, but it wasn't what I ordered, so I contacted them, they told me that it was Play. com's fault, that they didn't sell the t shirt I ordered!! and the A7X one should have been listed!!
(could almost believe that if the A7X had been a large)

anyways they said I had ot send the tshirt back, only then would they refund my money and postage.

so I did, over a week ago, first class, sadly not registered or recorded, but I have a receipt.
they say they still haven't got it....

now it is only £10.98 plus postage
but if they make a habit of this, that adds up.

so DON'T BUY FROM THEM

Have read on MN that play.com are terrible too..
Next time you want Cradle of Filth etc stuff, i recommend Grindstore - they're very good..
Hope you get your money back at some point, and Thanks for the tip!

deepandcrispandsevenfold · 18/12/2011 22:56

thanks for the reply, I will check grindstore out.
I have a sneaky feeling I won't see my money again

I think you might be able to get CoF goodies off their FB page ... I'll second Grindstore as All Round Good Eggs! Wink

GoingForGoalWeight · 18/12/2011 23:44

Cradle of filth? Have you been to my house looking through my windows? Shock

leeloo1 · 18/12/2011 23:51

If you sent it back via royal mail and have a receipt then you can claim compensation from them (I believe there's a limit of £30 for items sent uninsured). :)

Dilligaf81 · 18/12/2011 23:54

You can claim back from Royal mail if you have proof of postage as your coverd upto £38.
FWIW I buy a lot from Play.com and have only had a problem once when it was a seller on Play and not Play itself (if that makes sense)

Surely the seller is responsible for their own listings - like businesses on Ebay ?

deepandcrispandsevenfold · 19/12/2011 13:33

you would have thought. tbh I think they were making excuses, they never had the item yet listed it, so bit of a con really.
