want to run it as a nightclub then they should soundproof accordingly.

this is since new owners came in recently. I have had to bring ds in to our room as it's awful in his room.

We tried speaking to them but to no avail so have had to go to environmental health - and poor dp was confronted by their son when he went out to get something from the car :(

Environmental Health will deal with it. They are good where I live.

If anyone confronts you, tell them (EH). (They frequently liaise with the police.) If it's serious, call the police directly.

I fucking hate OTT neighbour noise.

Keep a diary - times/ dates.
:( for you OP

YANBU at all they should have acceptable soundproofing in. Getting environmental people round is the best way to get it sorted they can check the sound levels for you and take appropriate action - they can be quite strict so hopefully they will get it sorted for the long term. In the meantime I hope it doesn't get you down too badly Sad

I would imagine that it is a christmas party, and as it is only just gone midnight, some level of noise would be acceptable at that time.

I expect some noise from a hotel but this is like trying to sleep in a nightclub toilets - plus I am I'll and so tired. I don't care what they do but they should soundproof imo as we should be able to enjoy our home ( esp as we'll never sell now we had to go to EH!)

Planning permission would be needed to change the use of the building from a hotel to a hotel / nightclub, I think. But, as others have said, keep a diary of ASB and get Noise Abatement / Environment Dept involved. An ensure that there are litter bins and vomit containers outside the hotel.
