I may be a sulky chops, but it is my birthday and, as usual, my husband drunk more than me, and he is now asleep!!! I spoke to my mum and dad and when I came off the phone he was asleep..... I've had a really busy day and was looking forward to my grown up time, but now I am on my own. AIBU for being slightly annoyed or should I enjoy my own peace and quiet? Not minding Jude Law on BBC 1 :)

Enjoy the peace and quiet.

Happy birthday

Trills · 16/12/2011 23:09

11pm is a perfectly reasonable time to go to bed, especially at the end of the week.

So YAB a bit U.

Jenski · 16/12/2011 23:13

Do you think so Trills? - it was about half ten when I realised he was asleep.

However, I am secretly enjoying time on my own having had the busiest week too!

Happy birthday!

Yes I agree with Trills that's late enough after a long week at work.

Maybe you two could do something at the weekend?

That's you and your DH by the way...not you and Trills Grin

Trills · 16/12/2011 23:17

You won't want to do something with me - I have a sort throat and won't be much fun.

Yes, have a "birthday weekend" and do more fun things when you are both feeling up for it.

rabbid · 16/12/2011 23:19

ignore trills

happy birthday! you share your birthday with the best comedian of all time, bill hicks

WilsonFrickett · 16/12/2011 23:20

Have a Wine with Jude and enjoy the alone time - a birthday treat! I'm enjoying the peace, DH at Christmas night out so god knows what time/state he'll be in...

Jenski · 16/12/2011 23:20

thanks Worra - I think I may have to extend the celebrations because we are both pretty knackered having both worked v hard this week.

Maybe I am being childish :) have to admit, I am not so bothered now and enjoying utter peace and quiet :))

Oh and thanks Karma - I am enjoying the peace and quiet now I have stopped sulking :)

My birthday too and my husband left this afternoon for Germany. So, hop in to bed and cuddle in to something nice and warm....I've got Live at the Apollo on pause waiting for me. Think yourself slightly lucky :-)

That said, he did the school and nursery runs this morning, left me in bed for a lie in, came home to offer me a bit of fun- I was feeling so ill I declined! Dragged myself out of bed to collect dd and attend Christmas party no. 2 of 5...not so sure I'm liking this turning-35-malarkey Hmm

AgentZigzag · 16/12/2011 23:21

Awww happy birthday Smile

I think I'd rather them go to bed because they'd had one too many than go to bed sober and being old arsey.

At least he put a bit of effort into celebrating Grin

Jenski · 16/12/2011 23:23

Thanks Wilson and Rabbit - actually enjoying my 'me' time.

Hope you feel better soon Trills x
