Ear hole wanking

OhLordyBe · 13/12/2011 18:59

DH puts his little finger in his ear and then waggles it furiously.

It revolts me.

I would quite happily defenestrate him if i could get him close enough to an upstairs window.

when you posted about earwanking lots of thoughts came to mind.

I do this and while I knew it didn't look "nice" I didn't realise I was repulsing people so much. I get eczema in my ear canal and some days it drives me bananas so I give in and give it a scratch.

Thanks for the tip Mumdrivenmad, I shall give it a whirl. Smile

I'd be interested to see a 'top 10 disgusting habits' thread (but don't have the strength of stomach to instigate it right now), as clearly, different things repulse different people and it'd be useful to know what to avoid!

DP rubs his eyes so that he turns the lower lids part inside out so you can see the red insides. This I find this yuckier than his chewing his jumper, though I offer disapproving looks for that too. I try to avoid sctratching ears, rubbing eyes and face, though it happens. I find loud sniffing, when people are clearly moving a lot of mucus, utterly disgusting, whereas nose-blowing is not, because while unpleasant it deals with the problem. I have almost offered tissues to people sniffing repeatedly by reflex action (my mother used to do this!)

"Defenestrate" is only a word you can use whilst in Prague, IMO.

I love doing this (using a finger - I often have to use the joint though because nails are a bit too long). DH doesn't seem to mind but it drives my brother mad. It feels sooooooooooo good though!

There are places in Japan that specialise in ear cleaning. If I ever make it there I will definitely be going to one, I find it so soothing and satisfying.

MinesaBottle · 14/12/2011 15:27

I also have the 'dry' type of earwax ( greyish and a bit flaky) rather than the 'wet' orangey type so (in my mind at least) it's not that gross.

fuzzynavel · 14/12/2011 15:56

I do it at work with paperclips Grin

I do love these MN threads when you realise that so many people share your secret ailments (e.g. trypophobia..)

I have used a knitting needle, paper clips, hair grip, specs arms etc... to 'scratch that itch' as i have v. itchy ears.

Has anybody been to the Drs about and is there anything else to do to stop the itching? I am too scared to go as i know they will tell me off for putting things in my ears.

PigletJohn · 14/12/2011 16:18

have you tried wax-removing eardrops?

HappySeven · 14/12/2011 19:58

Ah, that's what caused my problem, Piglet. I used those drops you can buy and it triggered the eczema in my ears.
