AIBU to have a bath with my headphones on?

Single parent to 2 dc (5 and 11 months), they are both in bed/cot by 8pm.

When I'm in the bath I put my headphones on and listen to music, though I'm always paranoid that I can hear one of them, or something has happened, or someone has broken in the house and I'm there relaxing in the bath whilst the kids are being kidnapped.

Now AIBU to still want to listen to the music, or do I need to suck it up and have a boring bath?

Because I'm constantly taking out the earplugs and checking the house is silent, I do put it on speaker, but it's just not the same!!

Ahhhh, I think it's my inner youngness that wants to drown in loud music like I use to!

I do but only when DH is in, I wouldnt do it if I was on my own, but then I am a nervy bugger and if one of the kids came in for the loo Iwould probably drown :o

I do think it isnt a good idea tbh.

I would get a cheap pair of speakers as Smalltown suggested.

I love listening to music in the bath and bed... But I only where earphones if DH is in and has the baby monitor.

this reminds me when DC1 was a baby, where i wouldn't have a bath if DH wasn't in the house......just incase he chocked ect and i couldn't get to him on time.

cheap speakers, or a docking station if it is iphone or ipod.

or just keep the bathroom door open if you can see their bedroom door from where you are..
