to feel like writing an open letter to jesy from little mix?

i'm not a fan of the x factor, hate it really but watched it as it became mine & dd's thing we watched on saturday night (next year, will switch to strictly though Wink). we never vote and didn't really mind who won, but i really really hope that jesy does not succumb to the pressure the music industry will no doubt put her under to turn herself into a twiglet.

jesy, don't do it, stay as you are and just sing. maybe avoid gold leggings though!

My daughter forces me to watch it.
And I hate it but am being supportive because she's 15 and it's a bonding thing.
Little mix were crap.
That is all.

How odd. Just because it's a 'reality' show, doesn't make it real Xmas Grin. Just keep telling yourself - you do not know these people, just because they appear on your TV each week.

it is supposed to be supportive. yes, it's up to her but she will be put under pressure regardless.

It's part of the job though isn't it. Many Hollywood actresses have come out to say part of my job is to stay small. I strongly suspect she'd rather be a famous twiglet than a sturdy nobody.

I do feel sorry for Jesy, because the others in the group she stands next to are so skinny; Jade and Peri look like they might snap. She's probably absolutely tiny in RL.

The sad truth is that Take That wouldn't have been so big if you replaced robbie williams with peter kay.

I don't feel sorry for Jesy as she's won the X Factor, in part, for being a very approachable looking girl group. She adds an air of 'normality' to them, as well as being pretty, the others are strikingly attractive, I think it is a combination which has worked well for her.

OK, that came out wrong - I feel sorry for Jesy that her "normality" has been highlighted by the fact that she's sharing the stage with three very tiny girls. But not sorry for her generally - she has achieved her dream.

I knew they'd win the moment they showed all the young girl fans crying - that sort of devotion will serve them well.

It's the blonde who has the voice, and one of the others. Guess they carry her though. As with most groups, stand her on her own abs she would never have got through!! Actually, she didn't, she had to be 'put' with stronger singers

Most groups only have 1 or 2 good singers look at take that rest are shit and have had no fame outside the group but as a 'group' have made millions

But equally, the blonde girl on her own, whilst she is very pretty and a great singer, is unlikely to have a career as a solo artist as that takes a whole other level of presence and uniqueness which she just doesn't have (see Sophie Habibas). Being in a group, modelling being friends, having different 'looks' is precisely what makes teenage girls relate to them. I don't think anyone is 'carrying' anyone else, none of them could make it separately.

I hadn't actually noticed that one of them is apparently "fatter" than the others, but according to this and the other thread "Little Mix are Ghastly" it seems that Jesy (sp?) is. Huh. Which one is she? Hair colour etc?

The one with a noticeable double chin and slightly droopy eyes. Blonde. Wears bad pants at all times.

I love her eyes, and if she wants to wear gold leggings, let her! I think she looked great. Yes the other girls are gorgeous, but I'm not sure if they'd have won without Jesy so there ya go.

Actually Jesy is the only one I could describe physically.... The others were quite forgettable. I might have a mindset change over her. Slightly warming to her

I think her look is good. But as you all say, fame will change her. Look at Cheryl cole
