Even worse than the Military Wives Choir? At least I can rejoice in the motivation of the MWC.

I quite like them, the pig comments are not nice especially as she has said publically on xfactor that these type of comments are hurtful and upsetting for her (not suprising really as who would like to be spoken of like that?)
the fact of them not dressing and dancing so overly sexual like some other girl groups is a good thing i think, reminds me of spice girls (i used to love them when i was little so thats a good thing to me) and like someone else said if people's young dds are going to be a fan of these kind of music groups then i would say little mix is a better role model than some of the other things out there, as they are giving a message of friendship, having fun and hardwork, aswell as showing they dont all have to conform with the same looks and shape as each other
They seem like nice girls, nice personalities so congrats to them. I think they do have good voices too.

EatMeDates · 12/12/2011 17:18

I think Jesy is lovely - very sweet little thing. Poor girls, They are what - 18, 19? They are going to have put up with a lot of this bitchiness, now, poor things.

peacypops · 12/12/2011 17:18

spiderpig what a nasty comment. How would you feel if such a comment was made about your own child, or a child that you knew?

EatMeDates · 12/12/2011 17:20

There are alwaya those people that feel perfectly justified to sit at home behind their telly screen or computer screen and rip others to shreds, unfortunately. Comment on their singing, by all means, but there is no need to rip in to their looks, especially considering how young they are. Nasty.

Byeckersitsapropercrimbolike · 12/12/2011 17:20

Wickedwitch, i love them too, they are a fantastic role model for young girls, and poof that th bullies dont win, they sing really well and are four beautiful girls, i voted for them a few times.

I am 30 by the way Xmas Smile

There have been some atrocious comments made about Jesy on this thread, people should take a look at themselves, those kind of comments make you ugly

GypsyMoth · 12/12/2011 17:22

The name 'little mix' is a bit grim though... Who came up with that?

valiumredhead · 12/12/2011 17:22

Why are they good role models? They can sing - well one in particular can sing really well, but apart from that?

EsmeWeatherwax · 12/12/2011 17:24

The thing is, they might not be overtly sexual and underdressed at the moment, but I would put money on them being exactly that not so very far down the line. I think they're crap, but then I think everything to do with the x-factor is crap, fecking glorified karaoke.

wickedwitchofwaterloo · 12/12/2011 17:26

Byeckersitsapropercrimbolike - I am 30 next year! Xmas Grin

I really think they will be really great role models, I was saying to my OH last night that I like the way Jesy didn't suddenly lose masses of weight after all the jibes about her, I think its a great message for young girls, yes, I am a bit curvy AND WHAT? Lol. Thats the important thing I think, she's curvy NOT massively overweight and there will be loads of girls out there who are a little bit bigger than their mates and will identify with her and might just embrace themselves a little bit more.

Can you tell I'm a "curvy" girl myself Xmas Wink

valiumredhead · 12/12/2011 17:27

It certainly was this year Esme imo.

They got rid of Jade ffs and when you compare her voice with Little Mix Confused

valiumredhead · 12/12/2011 17:30

I think its a great message for young girls, yes, I am a bit curvy I think that is the message that they would like to portray her as feeling, but I bet in a year's time she will be anything but. It's a shame because she's not big and that X factor stage and camera angles make the smallest person look huge.

wahwahwah · 12/12/2011 17:31

Chubby one lookd cute - I just want to pinch her cheeks.

wickedwitchofwaterloo · 12/12/2011 17:32

valiumredhead - its a shame, but I fear you may be right in a years time, but for now, hopefully it will stay the same

spiderpig8 · 12/12/2011 17:32

Don't be ridiculous! if you want to hold yourself up as being a pop star and compete in contests on National television, then you should realistically expect comments on your looks which is at least as big a part of your package as your singing ability, which sadly in the case of little mix is woeful too!

wahwahwah · 12/12/2011 17:33

Been reading this backwards. What some meanies. I don't watch reality shows but did see an interview with them. They seemed nice girls - very young!

valiumredhead · 12/12/2011 17:34

And the X Factor stylists out to be sacked on the spot! Anyone over size 6 and they can't think of anything nice to put them in.

And what is with the barbie pink lipstick this year? It is revolting and makes me want to order them upstairs for a good wash

GoingForGoalWeight · 12/12/2011 17:36

Pig is YOUR name @ spiderPIG, pot, kettle?

MabelLucyAttwell · 12/12/2011 17:38

Is this the group of four that jumped up and down, squeaking like 5-year-olds when they were told they'd won? Give me strength!

AcrosstheUniverse · 12/12/2011 17:38

I think she has lost alot of weight, which I'm not surprised at following all the horrible comments that have been made about her. She has a lovely figure and is a pretty young girl, it will be a real shame if she feels the need to change any further. Good luck to them- I would much rather have these girls as role models for young girls as opposed to all the half dressed singers around at the moment.

valiumredhead · 12/12/2011 17:40

I thought she had lost a lot of weight too.

Making them sing that Christina Aguilara song the other week was horrible and made me cringe.

spiderpig8 · 12/12/2011 17:41

it's not her weight. she has a face like miss piggy

EatMeDates · 12/12/2011 17:42

Can we have a pic of you, please, spiderpig? I am dying to see what a stunner you are

ScarlettIsWalking · 12/12/2011 17:43

I think they would be good without Jessy, she spoils the bands image and vocal completely.

redpanda13 · 12/12/2011 17:44

They are not my thing at but my 5 year old DD liked them. I am now watching a recording of the X Factor final so she can she who won (she did'nt want me to tell her the result).DD is probably their target audience and they have a cutesy image. I think they seem a nice bunch of girls but not singers!

Miss Piggy comment is so childish.

spiderpig8 · 12/12/2011 17:49

'Can we have a pic of you, please, spiderpig? I am dying to see what a stunner you are '

But i'm not calling myself a pop star am I?
