I used to be perfectly happy with a quick shower. In, out and on my way, fresh as a daisy.
However showers just don't do it for me these days.

It's got to be looooong hot baths, lovely toiletries, a glass of wine maybe. It's ecstasy.

Is this a sign I'm getting old?

That probably depends on the wine.

I've done this since I was about 20 but as my age has increased, the quality of my wine and toiletries have improved! Grin

defo not a sign of getting old .... lovely way to spend an hour

Angelswings · 08/12/2011 22:26

You are getting old if you warm your PJs on the radiator while you are in the tub and then put your slippers on while you rub in your face cream

If you drunk wine while the bathroom is lit with candles then I'm just Xmas Envy

Angelswings · 08/12/2011 22:26

Drunk or drink? I've obviously had too much already

IneedAChristmasNickname · 08/12/2011 22:28

I've been enjoying a long hot bath (minus the wine) since I was about 10! So I hope not a sign of age!

Blush

Does warming the towels up count??

Husband went on his works xmas piss up on Tuesday and I had a blissful night, lit loads of tealights in the bathroom... ipod docking station and remote in there with me, and a bottle of champagne.. (it was sainsburys own.. but it was rather nice)...

Actually, me and him decided we were definately getting old the other night.. its not many years since we were crawling home at dawn after a lock in at the pub or a party at a mates house...

Saturday night this week.. highlight of the evening was x-factor, and we were sat there, both wearing slippers and pj's with a cup of tea, and (oh the shame).. we even have a biscuit barrel now.. Confused

I must remedy this slide into Saga-ness...

No. Way back when I were a lass people didn't have showers in their bathrooms, so you either had a bath or stayed dirty. I shower or bath as the mood takes me, but I love a long wallow in the bath with a good book - a habit that I developed in my teens.

I'm with INeedA. I've been taking at least 4-5 baths a week since I was 9 or 10! Sometimes 2 a day in winter! My father always said I was the cleanest person on our street :)
