To think you can have the laptop or the tv but not both

I know this is unimportant in the big scheme of things but dh pissed me off last night.

We only have one tv and one laptop. And only one sitting room. He expects to have the football on and be sat entertaining himself on the laptop at the same time. While I sit there bored.

I have instigated a new rule, you can have your choice of tv or the laptop but not both. Needless to say he things I am being a cow.

I'm in the house on my own at the moment so I'm enjoying both - MN and watching Cain Dingle getting his arse kicked. (Sad I know - I do have something more interesting to do any. minute. now...)

But under normal circumstances, YANBU.

We have laptops each but only 1 tv in the whoooole house and you can't have your laptop on and have any control over the tv.

We have a computer each and mine is positioned so I can see it and the tv. Problem solved.

That is crap, usually I have a laptop and a veto on any tv I can't stand. Dp has his own laptop, which may be used by dd, but he is glued to his iphone anyway.

Our relationship is 0, funnily enough.

Technology sucks.

Id never share a laptop with a partner, surely people have their own.

Me and my kids have always had our own computers since they were at least 14.

No he didn't call me a cow. Just huffed and puffed and tried to come up with reasons why he needed it. Research into the new dishwasher. Except I looked at his screen and there were no dishwashers on it.

The really annoying bit was he kept saying ok (while sounding increasingly pissed off with me) and then just kept googling away.

So after 2 mins I ask again for him to hand it over and the same grumbling ok is said. But he just keeps sitting there with it.

Honestly this went on for at least 10 minutes
