I watched it for the first time in about 3 years the other day, and it was dire. Dumbed down and trashy. Why is it still being commissioned?

I love it! I love the banter and the arguments between the panelists too.

But he stooped to a new low yesterday by cracking jokes about the death of a child

I do actually. Although these days it's all Mickey Mouse bleedin' Clubhouse on the telly.

They were spectacularly nasty about a kid who got murdered up in the Isle of Lewis yesterday. It's very recent - his family are grieving and the community is in shock still. I hope they get into trouble for it. You can see the clip and find out how to add your voice to the complaints here.

People obviously like, and watch, it in enough numbers to make it viable.
