To want to kick my dh in the head?

for making me get up yet again with ds first thing so he can have a lie in, despite me being pregnant, knackered and having been up 4 nights this week with ill ds.
Grr I want to go up there and throw something at him.

Not sure how he made you get up. I would ,and have, gone to get the baby and brought him back to bed. All the while nudging DH in the ribs so that lying in bed is not the calm experience he would like it to be.

I probably wouldnt kick him in the head personally, although you wouldnt be able to stop a baby from doing so...

Good point. Am thinking of going in and demanding he gets up so I can have a nice bath and use all the hot water. Mwahahahahah

Why the hell have a second kid with such a selfish man? When I catch myself moaning about DH (like just now he left a buttery knife on the board) I remind myself he is a darling...he takes care of dd if I am unwell, he shares any night wakings when she is teething, he cooks for her with such enthusiasm, he knackers his back helping her to walk (refuses to crawl)...

Does yours do anything like that? Or does he let you get on with all the work whilst he rests.

Suppose it depends on if he is up early to go to work all week and if you are a SAHM who doesnt have to..

He point blank refused to get up and as ds was shouting for his breakfast and heading for the stairs there wasn't much I could do.

I am 9wks preg so the early mornings are crap just now. Think that's why I am so grrrr today!

squeaky, SAHM doesn't mean you don't have to get up early. Often it means you get up early every day.

Nesbo, you are not alone in that thought. Why it is ok for someone to think it is ok to say they want to kick their partner in the head is beyond me.

Can't possibly comment whether your husband is being unreasonable though - he may have just finished a 90 hour week at work, he may be coming down with the same bug your DS has.

Lol he is usually very good at sharing the lie ins but not wonderful at the chores etc. I am just having a rant today.

I know that timewasting, but it does mean you get more opportunity to have a rest at certain points in the day.

Nuts hmm better.

If he has the same bug as ds then he is teething awfully late in life!

He works full time yes, and I work 3 days which means I am
Up every day early!!

He is just a lazy sod!

I don't agree with the SAHM argument. My DP works a 50 he week and yet at weekends he deals with majority of any night wakings (that he hears!) and gets up with DS on a sat/sun to give me a break. Broken sleep AND entertaining a child during the day is exhausting-and for anyone who says you can sleep during the day.....rubbish! I sometimes give DP a lie in off my own back but if he categorically told me to get up as he wanted one......DS would be brought to bed to cause havoc!

Well he took it quite well despite us both jumping on him and yes I'm afraid there was contact between his head and ds foot. Oops

It doesn't always follow that sahm = more rest. If your toddler doesnt sleep in the day then how would you nap then? Or like me-both of mine sleep but rarely simultaneously. It's not as simple as all that. And in any case it sounds as if op has an arrangement about lie ins which means that he should stick to it or renegotiate at a better time of the day.
