It's been bothering me too. Having your children taken away is something that worries a lot of people. Those in the know on MN have been reassuring people for years that it can't happen (assuming of course there isn't a history of neglect etc), then this stupid programme comes along and says yes it can.

Would any court take a child away from its SAHM to give it to a father it had spent the odd day with - on his sayso - so that he could then dump it on anyone who would have it?

Given the characters history the most obvious thing for her to do would have been to grab the child and head off to Ibiza..

It's just horrible isn't it. The thought some people will watch this and think it could happen. It's not a mother/father thing, it's the fact that that kid has lived with it's mum since birth and dad has taken her for the odd trip to the park. He works more than fulltime, with evening work. and what would his answer have been when they asked him in court what his childcare arrangements are??

I am slightly about taking this so seriously but I think it is insulting to our intelligence and just another bash at resident parents too.
