to let my DD4 wear her Hannah Montana heeled shoes to a princess party?

she has her ballet Christmas party tomorrow & it is princess themed.

Last christmas she was bought some pink Hannah's and only ever wears them as dress up. Her outfit is pink Disney but we have no shoes to go with it these would go well but not sure if I'll get a load of catsbumface responses.

So the question sits up there ^

Why not? if she wants to wear them and can walk safely in them, I am struggling to see a problem.
DD used to wear her clickyclacky shoes as often as possibe.

Kreecher if you're saying it's ok then it must be :)

My husband bought our daughter (then 5) a pair of heeled grey sparkly Monsoon shoes, I was very annoyed as I don't buy heels myself, but she enjoyed tripping around to a few parties in them, I saw a few double-takes but didn't mind. Once they had been bought, my guilt was over (esp. as in most cases, it was to wear to parties in playcentres and she spent no time with them on anyway).

Was thinking that - they'll be off in no time, the ballet mums are the hardest crowd though!

Clippy cloppy party shoes are absolutely fine imo... for parties and dress up I don't cringe or tut tut.

Although the 8 year old girl in platform knee length black suede boots that turned up to a class party did make me raise a disapproving eyebrow. Not sure I'd have had the same reaction if they'd been pink, or if part of an Abba outfit, so maybe I'm wrong for that.

Confused Really?
DD would kill for a pair of clicky clacky's now, but she's 10. She did have a pair of espadrilles with ankle/leg laces. they had a heel about 7cm on. She looked like a very poor drag queen and fell over quite frequently.
She was happy.
