I've read some theories on this and some people I know seem convinced we are being brainwashed through everything including The X Factor... Umm, aibu to think it is an unfounded theory?

Grin should be there

AgentZigzag · 30/11/2011 21:45

And have you noticed other subtle differences since that day DDD?

Things like when you put your glasses on you're able to see which ones are the aliens, fantasising about Peter Andre (well, he must be one of them, how else could someone with so little talent do so well for himself?)

Y'know, shit like that? Grin

This thread is hilarious.

Yes, I think there is a lot more to most items on the national news than most of us know, but most of us do know that and don't really care that we don't know the exact machinations of politics or finance or intelligence etc. It's no wonder politicians get so far removed from everyday reality really with the things they must know and be dying to tell people but can't.

There probably are a whole load of secret societies but no single overreaching one because people who are in that kind of thing are hardly likely to admit that another society is better than their's are they?

TBH if dressing up in weird clothes and having silly handshakes makes you feel speshul then carry on. I really don't care.

Watch http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcfour/documentaries/features/century_of_the_self.shtml BBC documentary The Century of the Self about the growth of mass consumerism in Britain and America.

If that doesn't explain the media mind-control to you I don't know what will. Who controls it ultimately is a matter for debate, but the media/corporations use triggers and mind-control on us every day - targetted advertising for example.

I have friends who are firm believers.

3 things I remember them telling me:

  1. that the contraceptive pill was created to control women an population by lowering libido.

  2. fluoride added to water is not for the benefit of our teath at all and is actually put there to keep us mellow and less likely to rise up against things. (apparently Hitler used fluoride in the concentration camps to keep the masses calm)

  3. aliens built the pyramids. Aliens apparently also gave designs to ancient Egyptians which allowed them to create electricity way before we 'invented' it.

For these reasons, my friend will only drink bottled water and will not take the pill.

There are way more things she told me, but I forget

lesley33 · 01/12/2011 07:45

Pity the fluoride theory your friend believed in doesn't seem to work on our kids! Maybe I should be getting DCs to drink loads of tap water.

Beaverfeaver And yet the pill made me so horny! Clearly not effective.

Psammead The Crazy boss did not believe in the loch ness monster. We asked him, and he laughed at us and said there was no reliable evidence of the existence of the loch ness monster... Whilst there is clearly plenty of reliable evidence of demons dressing up in grey suits with tight little bottoms and big eyes and sticking probes up people's bottoms... Apparently demons disguise themselves as aliens so that the illuminati won't realise they are being controlled by the devil Grin

I love the idea that the world's leaders/illuminati (according to my ex-boss) are given super-human powers and intellect by the devil, but do not know it is the devil, whilst some small business owner in the northeast with a history of substance abuse has spotted this.

I miss that boss.
