Tis a thread about a thread.

I got a right old flaming (rightly, for an extremely poor choice of words) last week on a thread about my DS and the GP. I didn't want to resurrect the thread because of the title so am posting a separate update.

Went back to the senior partner at the practice to say, right oh what's all this about. He looked at the notes and was horrified that the locum GP had not only over reacted to a grumpy poorly child but had added inappropriate comments on his notes.

DS's notes are being clarified as well and we've had a spanking big apology from the Surgery.

Thanks again to all the very patient people who talked me down from my right and proper fizz.

Thanks everyone else and he's very much better now.

No need for a referral, in fact lots of raised eyebrows all around as well as an emphatic statement that the approach taken was wrong, whatever the circumstances it would be up to me to raise concerns not for a GP to make an assessment based on a first meeting when said child was clearly poorly....

The notes referred to about the eye exam did not say what the GP last week told me they said either.
