To take myself on a BUS to the nearest Starbucks to get a Gingerbread Latte

Well am I?

I live in a rural place, with limited bus service, the weather is wild, and I will have to take my 5 week old DD with me in the pushchair. All for a latte. It is madness isn't it?

Biut I really bloody want one.

I say go! I would be happy if I only had to get a bus to go to Starbucks...I have to take a train! For an hour!

Mbear · 29/11/2011 11:00

I love gingerbread lattes!! It's like Christmas in a cup - and I'm not very festive!!

Do it op..

sausagesarenottheonlyfruit · 29/11/2011 11:00

You should go, or it will haunt you for days!

Incedentally, is your name pronounced Gay-pants or Gap-ants? I've always wondered!

andthisisme · 29/11/2011 11:00

YADNBU

The toffee nut one is also yum Grin

Gapants · 29/11/2011 11:04

Oh god, I think I am going to have to go. The weather is not that bad...I could get some christmas shopping done too. If I go soon I could get one when I arrive, shop, then get a decaf one for the way home! This could be an excellent plan.

My name, which is crap, but after being on MN for 3 years and being a serial namchanger, I have decided to stick with it- in my head it sounds like "Ga-pants". I know, it is rubbish.

Oh YADBU

I go into the closest big city to me (40 minutes away) every year to get christmas shopping that I could get from closer to home, just so that I can stop and have a Gingerbread latte halfway through.

I don't consider it christmas until I have done it!

upahill · 29/11/2011 11:05

YABU
I had a gingerbread latte last week and it was revolting.

bruffin · 29/11/2011 11:06

I make my own - we bought the dolce gusto machine last christmas , the latte machiatto is very nice and we just add gingerbread syrup.

ginlet · 29/11/2011 11:09

YANBU

Gapants · 29/11/2011 11:19

bruffin that is very good to know! Hmm, new christmas present idea.

YANBU at all. Have two why not?

Listzilla · 29/11/2011 11:32

YABU. They're not that nice. The Toffee Nut Latte, on the other hand, is worth braving any sort of weather for.

HipHopOpotomus · 29/11/2011 11:39

YABU - wait till it's icy cold. You will enjoy it all the more.
(still too warm for HipHop's annual trip to SB for a gingerbread latte )

RachelHRD · 29/11/2011 11:41

YADNBU and have a sausage bap and a cinnamon swirl too nom, nom :)

DressDownFriday · 29/11/2011 11:48

Seems perfectly reasonable to me.

Add a gingerbread muffin as well for good measure - no point doing things by halves. Grin

LoveBeingAFirework · 29/11/2011 11:53

It's very important when you have a new baby that you get out and about

Gapants · 29/11/2011 11:54

OK, am dressed for an arctic expedition as is mini-pants. We are both rocking the tights under trouser trick today and the bus comes at 12-17, I am planning on having my lunch there now. Sausage Bap sounds perfect. 2 lattes, one when I arrive and one when I leave.

Thank you MN. Will report back with my tasting experience.
