to only wear my knickers once, then wash them?

Following on from the towel thread where some people wash their towels once a year how often do you change your knickers?

I normally change my underwear twice a day but can be much more if it's hot or I'm on my period.

Everything else apart from tops and vests are once a day. Tops are twice a day, I can't stand to feel sweaty.

Once a month whether they need it or not

See, I don't think it does inhibit my social life at all. If I stayed the night at someone's house I'd probably know them pretty well, so I'd know about towels. I wouldn't stay at a stranger's house, and I'm attached so I don't have one night stands either. So the towel thing may appear a bigger deal than it realistically is.
I'm not averse to dirt, either. I do the gardening and mend the car, decorate etc. I don't even do the handgelling routine like others at work (we are not a hospital btw).
I'm sure all this has not been helped by the fact that I found DD (aged about 5 at the time) wiping herself after the toilet on my bath towel, and she'd been doing it for months, she told me.

Bed clothes and twoels get washed once a week.

Wear underwear and most other clothes only once, but might wear jeans twice before washing.

Knickers - dasily at least.
The rest - well, you lot aren't very green, are you? Clothes and towels realy don't need to be washed every time you use them unless you get hot and sweaty in them.

knickers daily, or 2ce daily (once in the morning and a clean pair for bed)

Bra's can go weeks without a wash

I change my knickers everytime I shower, so at least once a day, and sometimes before bed as well.

But everything else
I wear jeans for about a fortnight, jumpers are in circulation for a few weeks before washing, though there are several in circulation at any one time.

Bras, hmm, a few days, which is quite revolting considering am breastfeeding and leaky. But I do wear breastpads, changed v.often.

Towels whenever there is a) space in the machine and b) I remember them.

Once a day minimum, would never take them off and put them back on again.
All clothes worn once.

Every day or if I'm going to the gym or have a period, I take a spare pair.

Also alot of you seem to wear knickers in bed. Really? I only do if I have a period. Good Jesus, give your arse / fanny an airing and leave it knicker free for once

I've worked shifts all my working life, worked nights and long days (did a 28 hr shift once), there have been weekenders and festivals and camping trips and flu wheredo didn't get out of bed for more than 2 days so I'm pretty sure I've worn knickers for longer than the prescribed amount of time before.

I've im not dead, i've managed not get chuff rot and no-ones passed out from the stench so hey ho it's ok!

If I take them off I can't put them back on again, I have to have a clean pair. It's Summer here at the moment so i've been swimming twice already so I'm on my third pair. Does that make me really strange?

I find this idea that your bottom "needs" a nightly airing (to be achieved by no pants in bed, probably inside PJs, under heavy shared duvet, in room with windows tightly shut)... to be quite hilarious.

If your bottom truly needs an airing, you'd be sticking it out the window in the breeze for 5 minutes each evening, no?

I'm a little bit more lax, mainly because I'm an absolute sucker for buying things for everyone else. I'll go "Why spend £15 on myself when that could get DS two new outfits from ASDA?!"

Saying that, I still manage to change my knickers once every two days. Once a day if I've got the painters in.

DP though is an absolute flamin' nightmare. He will wear pats and t-shirts to the point where I can't bear to have him hug me and even then I have to wrestle them away from him, but he changes his socks twice a day, possibly even three! I just don't get it!!!
