ok ... the slightly roomier pair, and wear a baggy jumper to cover the extra padding around my waist, then claim they fit?

Can you breathe, bend over at more than a 10 degree angle, and attempt to sit down?

If so, YANBU

YABU to have teeny jeans, pre-pregnancy or no.

OldGreyWassailTest · 25/11/2011 17:16

Why would you want to do that? Does it REALLY matter?

NinkyNonker · 25/11/2011 17:17

God they sound miserable, why do it?!

Flisspaps · 25/11/2011 17:19

Are they comfortable?

Newmummytobe79 · 25/11/2011 17:22

They are very happy jeans. I am very happy I'm in them. Just.

I managed to fit in to my size 8 jeans up to 26 weeks pg but then got some maternity jeans, it's so much more comfortable and they look good as long as you wear a top that keeps the waist band covered. Don't put your self trough it, it's not worth it, I wish I'd got mine sooner.

Pascha · 25/11/2011 17:31

I did it, with the help of a belly band. And a very long loose tunic top. Feels great.

Newmummytobe79 · 25/11/2011 17:33

Wow dozyrosie - up to 26 weeks! I was huge by then Blush

Baby is here now, maternity jeans packed away and the old favourites are out, out, out! :)

Yes, do it if it makes you feel good! Grin

It's also a good incentive to get back into shape

DorianGray · 26/11/2011 10:21

I have only just packed my maternity jeans away and my DS is 10 months. They were just so comfy...

otchayaniye · 26/11/2011 12:29

go for it.

i recently left hospital a day after my section in size 8 Baxter (which are small, not m&s size '8') jeans. ok, ok, i had a slight muffin top...

i lost weight that pregnancy

but before you hate me, i put more than 4 stone on with my first pregnancy and daughter only weighed 5lbs Blush. i schlommocked about in lycra for a long time (and was in tropics, a horrible climate to be fat)

WhoIsThatMaskedWoman · 26/11/2011 12:44

Do make sure you are wearing a really long top though. When DS was about 6 months old I went out in my pre-pg jeans and my ill-chosen top rode up a bit and as I walked past a group of school girls they started singing (surreptitiously) Do You Know The Muffin Man Grin Blush Angry Sad Blush.
