I think they're anti-social meself.

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 24/11/2011 18:38

Have they? Its recording here...
I was only saying the other day (to my mum) that I havent seen them for aaages Grin

pictish · 24/11/2011 18:38

hahahaaa! YANBU! The first time I clapped eyes on the blue family from next door, I nearly wet myself with excitement.
I'd have been less impressed upon sighting a unicorn!

mycatsaysach · 24/11/2011 18:41

linky please - mine are too old for itng (i'm not though)

Kitchentiles · 24/11/2011 19:44

They're definitely up to something in there. They don't even so much as peek out the window when their neighbours are dancing in the front garden.

Mandy2003 · 24/11/2011 19:54

Oooh, I thought the other ones (their neighbours) had eaten them!

When he was of an age to watch it he used to call the red ones the Cardinals and the blue ones the Jesuits Grin

Greatdomestic · 24/11/2011 20:26

I think they are a strange bunch:)

Joobles · 24/11/2011 20:35

Pontipines?

euphrosyne · 24/11/2011 21:10

YANBU what a treat!

DS is growing out of it now but I still enjoy more than Strictly

Psammead · 24/11/2011 21:14

I have never seen them. Only dancing around the gazebo.

I want to see them so badly.

Sad
MsVestibule · 24/11/2011 21:24

Ooh, how exciting! The first couple of times we saw them, we didn't realise they had their own name, so became known (to DH and I, anyway) as The Elusive Blue Pontipines Grin.

Ciske · 24/11/2011 21:33

DD calls them the Blue Pontipines as well.

Does anyone else feel the Pontipines are being portrayed as quite an anti-social family? Once again we see the children carry around a heavy table while the parents do nothing, the food was all sugar and no fruit/veg and really, where were their manners with regards to waiting with the food until all guests had arrived? Shock

Meglet · 24/11/2011 21:37

yanbu.

I get excited when the Haa-Hoo's do something. Like bounce slowly through the forest Hmm.

learningtofly · 24/11/2011 21:44

YANBU even ds was excited to see them make an appearance tonight. He came running into the kitchen very excitedly shouting "blues ones mummy! Blues ones!"

I guess the true test is that he tries to say all the other character names that regularly appear but the poor old wottingers are reduced to being known as only the "blues ones"

plupervert · 24/11/2011 22:59

I think this is the episode!

They don't mix much, though. Snobbish so-and-sos. Do you all remember when they refused to answer the door to Mr Pontipine?!

plupervert · 24/11/2011 23:01

P.S. I loved the Cardinals/Jesuits identification! Just the sort of poncy thing a MNer's child should say! Have you been on the Competitive Parenting thread yet, Mandy?

FetchezLaVache · 24/11/2011 23:03

DH is a keen Wottinger-spotter and actually called me through to see them tonight. He then ranted at some length about how dreadful it was that the Pontipines had phoned them up rather than popped round next door to speak to them in person, or something. The kind of thing the phrase "Right, dear" was invented for.

TCOB · 24/11/2011 23:03

YANBU. The TCOBs are totally thrilled. And when it was followed by that funky dance routine - we went WILD. All apart from the baby, that is.

TCOB · 24/11/2011 23:04

Ciske - I thought I spotted a tomato and mozzarella salad in there?

plupervert · 24/11/2011 23:23

How can they have a funky dance routine if they have't got any limbs? They are fused peg-people! Or are the Wottingers actually multi-jointed puppets, and that is why they consider themselves so superior to the Pontipines?

Trixxie89 · 24/11/2011 23:32

YANBU!! I love them so much!! I want Derek Jacobi's to narrate my life!!

Tiredprobably · 25/11/2011 01:22

We are relatively new fans with a 9 mo, but they were out yesterday as well, how exciting!
