i dont get the nobodie thread i know it's there every day it comes a cross as a group of people who all get along and post on it like a group meet up. but may come across to other people as somthing else. theres a lot going on mumnet though why form a group you feel you can't post on the thread when you see it.

knoeckkneed, it started up as a group of people who weren't namechecked (nobodies with a typo). If you see threads like that, you could go really mad and go on it and say WTF is this about?

I wasn't picking on what you said - it was the general tone which comes up in every 'i hate mn love in' threads.
The people objecting sometimes use it to take a cheap shot and in my opinion , needing or wanting to be on here a lot can be because a whole raft of reasons.

I have a theory on this all, and if you seen my post on said thread you will know.
I believe some poster have massive white boards in study, posters names at top and even a photo if one in file! They then list their details, how funny scores, likelihood of being a troll score, likihood of Wong a complete nutter, axe murder, bumping own posts score ect. I have taken this view and I'm sticking to it. It's a secret mn police at work!!

I am sometimes on those threads and it is very nice. But I am often not on them (unless i go and say OI! what about meeeeeeeeee!) and it doesnt bother me.

I tend to be on them if I have been virtually living on MNs for weeks, not so much if I have managed to get myself a real life for a while.

Its sad that people feel excluded by them but they really do not matter (the threads not the people).

Oh ffs there are plenty of threads for everyone. So there are a few cliquey ones. So what? I don't have a dog or a fish or a teenager or a child with a SN dx or a mad SiL or a cat or a pregnancy or any one of the hundreds of others that have whole topics or threads devoted to them. Do I care? No. Why? Because it is not all about meeeee!

I got mentioned. I'm not deluded enough to think it's for any other reason than me spending far too much time on here. But, that's because I have hugh trust issues, and am very isolated socially. I don't really see anybody outside of my family. I like it that way, I'm not looking for sympathy. But it does mean that I have vast amounts of time to spend on here, and I appreciate the interaction that I do get. I can't be the only one posting for reasons like that.
