First time I was in this shop today, and the tampon/towel bit has a sign above it reading 'Lady Care'. It just struck me as somewhat hilarious. I never new I was a Lady what did need care.

The signs "Female Toilet" usually has this effect on me. "LadyCare" would not bother me.

I've always felt that 'Feminine Hygiene' is a bit twee. But 'Lady Care' sent me over the edge.

I like everything about Home Bargains. Even the Lady Care sign. Makes me feel like a lady :)

Trills · 20/11/2011 17:09

Home bargains clearly isn't the shop I thought it was if they have a "ladycare" section...

katkitya · 20/11/2011 17:10

Are they cheaper in Home Bargains? I never think to buy my tampax from there. The sign wouldnt bother me.

Trills · 20/11/2011 17:10

I mean, what do sanitary products have to do with the home? I thought it was a place full of lamps and cushions and things TK Maxx style.

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 20/11/2011 17:12

Nah, trills. It's a bit like Wilko's. Lots of random stuff. And a whole Lady Care section

No matter how much equality there is in the world, one thing is for sure, men will never need sanitary ware, so it wouldnt bother me at all seeing a sign saying "ladycare". Grin

Does make me think about the Little Britain transvestites though, going into a shop and asking for that section!! Grin

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 20/11/2011 17:18

I do wonder why shops are so coy. Why not just 'Sanitary Products'? I mean, we all know what they are.

Nuffin like Wilkos, much cheaper for a start.

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 20/11/2011 17:19

And they should be called fanny soakers anyways.

bemybebe · 20/11/2011 17:19

"Ladies Toilet" would be fine Stranged
"Female Toilet" suggests that this facility has "female" attributes... Anyway, english is not my first language, although to me it sounds grammatically incorrect...

bemybebe · 20/11/2011 17:20

Stranded Grin sorry
