I saw it today and basically sobbed throughout. It properly reinstates the 'magic' of Father Christmas! I loved it. Ninja Elves and everything..:))

Bit early for me yet - but I'm looking forward to it.

LadyEatsCrispsALot · 19/11/2011 21:43

Seriously just great. I have DD 6 who is questioning the reality of FC which I felt v sad about. This film just answered all her questions. Magic of Christmas reinforced and maintained!

I saw it too with my six year old and its the first Christmas movie in ages that I utterly loved. Will be going again. Sweet, innocent, cleverly positioned, beautifully made, funny warm and just a real cracker. Firmly recommend for absolutely everyone.

noyouhavehadawee · 19/11/2011 21:44

how long is it on for (wonderign how long ds can sit for!)

worraliberty · 19/11/2011 21:45

My faves are Miracle on 34th Street and Jingle all the way Grin

prettyfly1 · 19/11/2011 21:47

About 1 and a half hours long (tops) and it compares with both of those. In fact it is better then Jingle all the Way. By a lot.

Dee03 · 19/11/2011 21:49

Me and my ds saw it today too....we loved it Smile

Dee03 · 19/11/2011 21:50

My ds is 12 by the way Grin

duckdodgers · 19/11/2011 22:02

Cant wait to see it - DH wants to go tomorrow but I want to wait until at least our lights are switched on...we have put all the outdoor decs up but have refrained from switching them on yet.

Favourite Christmas film has to be Elf, all the way!

Ineedacleaneriamalazyslattern · 19/11/2011 22:24

DD (8) and I had a girly night out to the cinema last week to see it. It was great. Such a lovely film and definitely caprtured the magic of Santa.

missingmumxox · 20/11/2011 00:02

loved it, 6 yr old twins loved it too, I want to see it again, without them :)

NeverAttributeToMalice · 20/11/2011 00:09

Saw it, loved it, cried a big, uncontrollable sob at one point. I guffawed at several points too. The four 5-year-olds I took pronounced it "the best film EVER". Magic of Santa + enough realism for the sophisticated children + a version of The Prodigal Son = superb xmas movie.

trixymalixy · 20/11/2011 00:18

Oh I am so looking forward to it now!!

CheerfulYank · 20/11/2011 00:33

We're getting it here on the 23rd. I can't wait to see it...I'm trying to plan to bring DS and some little friends.

CannibalBitsArrrgh · 20/11/2011 00:39

I took 6 kids to see it last weekend for my 8 yr olds birthday treat - it was bloody brill and I think I might have even enjoyed more than they did! Make sure you watch it in 3D :)

mrswishywashy1 · 20/11/2011 02:21

took my 3 yr old gs and he loved it and didnt even blink the whole way through it :) has never sat so still so long lol

SharonGless · 26/11/2011 19:33

Absolutely brilliant film about the magic of Father Christmas. Dd 3 and DS 5 were totally captivated. I have to admit to a sob or two but also couple of very funny gags too.
