and Blatter is a nutter...and a fat, doddering dinosaur who should be ushered out of his job pronto (no weight or ageism offence meant)?

It's been there for ages. Wasn't it back in the 70's/80's when Viv Richards (I think) had bananas thrown onto the pitch at him.

I think this Blatter lives in a bit of a fantasy.

BarbaraStanwyck · 18/11/2011 18:16

YANBU. What he is effectively saying is that it's ok to be racist or a bigot for 90 minutes as long you shake hands after. It's not right and he's an arse of the highest order.

flatbread · 18/11/2011 18:17

...not that I created any of the others Blush

But reading the threads and seeing Blabber on teevee just made me Shock

Viv Richards is a cricketter

crazynanna · 18/11/2011 18:20

Viv Anderson? Viv someone...I'll check

mynewpassion · 18/11/2011 18:23

Of course it exists in football and everywhere else. Only ignorant people don't think it exists or brush it under the rug.

I think we have made great strides but racism is in no way eradicated.

PersonalClown · 18/11/2011 18:23

Of course there is. Blatter is a deluded twat.

Like a handshake is going to solve anything.
I'm with Rio on this..Is a handshake going to solve it all? When players abuse a ref? Handshake. So called 'fans' shouting monkey cants from the stands? All fine if they offer a handshake.

More needs to be done.
And in my own very personal opinion..John Terry is a wanker too.

crazynanna · 18/11/2011 18:26

ok I'm a twat...it was cyril Regis ...I think Blush

Andrewofgg · 18/11/2011 19:11

a fat, doddering dinosaur who should be ushered out of his job pronto (no weight or ageism offence meant)?

Huh?

MMMarmite · 18/11/2011 19:21

YANBU. His comments about gay people are awful too.

grovel · 18/11/2011 19:33

He's Swiss. The Swiss are decidedly odd and conservative (and dull). Not that I like to generalise...........

GrimmaTheNome · 18/11/2011 19:36

Of course it does. Not so blatant as it used to be, but that doesn't mean outbursts now can be tolerated.

The homophobia's still as bad as ever, isn't it? Sad
