DD goes to a primary where lots of the mums are cliquey. I have never fully fitted in. The PTA are the worse.
I have honestly tried to fit in but it's hopeless.

I feel you newcastle. I'm not sure it will get any better but here's hoping.

This is a common complaint BUT you are not at school with them yourself. Just drop your dd off, pick her up and make a circle of friends outside of school run mums. If you are not on the PTA then why worry?

I would just spend as little time as possible outside the school gates and instead find some women withw hich you have more in common with other than the fact you have kids. Not easy but don't let them get to you. Take a good book if all else fails and ignore them.

I encouraged DS to walk down the road - I dropped him 1/4 mile away - as part of practicing for big school
and picked him up from the same car park
I only went to the gate / playground once a fortnight in the final two terms
suited me and DS just fine
