would push the leaflet/newspaper/charity bag right through so that it falls to the floor and ensure that the letter box is closed again. What's the point of draught excluder if these people leave the letter box wide open this weather?

Yes, they have a job but why can't they do it properly? Pizza leaflets are the worst round here.

I'm just getting sick of the bloody charity collection bags in general. We get one every week from the same charity, how much stuff do they think I actually have?! On the plus side, it's saving us money as we don't have to buy bin bags any more.

We've got an external mail box, which is much easier for people delivering stuff, especially our lovely postie. And nicer for us as we don't have a draughty letter box.

There are some on Argos that aren't too expensive.

cat64, spot on. I did some delivering for a charity recently. Most of the letterboxes seemed to be designed to injure or frustrate me.

Some of them are spring loaded and prone to slicing off fingers (the letter boxes not the delivery people)
