To think my dd should not take her clothes off and then complain she is cold

My dd is going through a phase of taking all her clothes off anytime she isn't the centre of attention. I am sure she is doing it for attention.

She is now complaining she is cold. Am I mean just to ignore her.

I suppose it depends if she is 2, or 20 Grin

She is 2 years old and incontinent. DH is not happy that she is not wearing a nappy and might wee on our nice carpet.

I am sure she will out grow it by 20

Grin at squeaky toy!
I guess she is young-ignore she will put them on if cold enough.

Memoo · 12/11/2011 10:52

Dd does this all the time, sometimes we have naked apart from wellies. She is also 2

HecateGoddessOfTheNight · 12/11/2011 10:53

I think I'd just say "put your clothes back on and then you won't be cold"

as I wandered off to make myself a cup of coffee

Grin kids are funny, aren't they?

Honeydragon · 12/11/2011 10:54

ds used to do this and stand in the window, I am soooooooooooo lucky to have tolerant neighbours. Ignore Grin

LaurieFairyCake · 12/11/2011 10:58

My 13 year old is doing the same and it's 18 degrees in here.

It's incredibly annoying particularly as she means to be Hmm She has just said:
"When I get my own house I'm having it warm all the time as I will have a great job to pay for it"

We have good jobs, plenty of money to put the heating on, it's not cold (in my opinion), I do lots of 'hot' chores on Saturday morning so don't want the heating on yet - at the moment I have windows open to air the house.

I find her comment really really bitchy and annoying so I'm ignoring it and biting my tongue.

YABU to expect a 2 year old to not be ridiculous :o

Trills · 12/11/2011 11:01

For Laurie's DD: "When you have your own house you can have it however tropical you like. This is my house and this is the temperature I find comfortable. Now go do your homework so that you can get that good job you're always banging on about"

LittleMissFlustered · 12/11/2011 13:33

In general, I find two year olds to be very unreasonable:o

Thanks Trills. Grin
