To think that the clothes in Monsoon are poor quality this season?

I have just been into their store with my neice, who usually buys quite a lot of clothes from Monsoon and we were horrified at the deterioration of the quality of the clothes in there.

Without exception every item we picked up was shoddy, and made from inferior materials. On closer inspection we realised that they are all manufactured in China.

Monsoon have made a mistake if they believe they can reduce the quality of their clothes and still charge the same prices.

They've really gone downhill and uppriced in the last 2-3 years - since beads and sequins got trendy and they must have found putting them on everything meant they could charge twice as much.

I used to get about 4 items in all their sales, but in the last couple I haven't found anything I'm willing to wear, certainly not at their extortionate '50% off' prices!

I've been told that they've recently reduced all staff allowances etc too.
Really going down hill.

Never shop at Monsoon, just overpriced tat if you ask me

I've not been happy with their quality for the last 2 years or so. If I wanted a polyester shirt, which I don't, I certainly wouldn't be paying £80 for it!

Piggy's right, they've also cut their staff allowances and reduced what they are permitted to purchase with discount.

We recently got bridesmaid dresses there and yes they are poor quality compared to the ones we got about 2-3 years ago! Finish is poor as well as the quality of the materials. Same with the adults sizes.

Look lovely in the photos though!

Also waaaay overpriced for what they were but we couldn't wait for them to go on sale.

We tried loads of different places for alternatives but had to go with Monsoon in the end as the colour match was the best.
