That I get to bring my babies home tomorrow! :o :o :o

Incredibly happy, received the news today, we can't wait for Poppy and Grace to come home and be fully fledged members of the family!

(I know this is technically not an AIBU, but there have been so many of you lovely ladies on here that have offered me support and a shoulder to cry on over the past couple of months, I just thought I'd update you all on progress!)

MrsTerryPratchett · 07/11/2011 23:28

OMG, I can't believe it. Hasn't it been AGES? Good for you (and Poppy and Grace)

JaneFonda · 08/11/2011 18:33

It has indeed been ages! They were born on the 28th of August, so it's certainly been a stressful few months.

They are currently snuggled up and asleep, after being entertained by their big brothers! I can't believe we now are a household of six, crazy stuff.

We are so happy, but I am still feeling a bit precious and wary about things that COULD go wrong... I doubt I'll be able to sleep at all tonight, any reassurance please?!

Thank you everyone for all of your support! :)

Oh Congratulations. Lovely names too. Grin

No advice but I know when my cousin who was premmie (were your DD's prem?) had a monitor - so a mat that beeped and also a SAT's monitor. It made her parents feel more relaxed.

JaneFonda · 08/11/2011 18:54

youarekidding, they were premature, but we're still not exactly sure of how early they were; I only found out I was pregnant at around 5 months so dates were quite a muddle!

Was the monitor provided by the hospital?

Jane

What fantastic news !

I had a preemie 12 years ago, born in the August and didn't get home till the November.

Enjoy your girls ! Smile

Shock @ carrying twins for 5 months without knowing.

She was born at 23+3 (so earlier than you found out you were PG!) and when she left hospital she had oxygen if she needed it and so the hospital provided the SATS monitor. The mat I think was provided but not sure who by.

I would suggest asking your HV or CN about equipment you can borrow/ hire. I'm afraid I don't know more but will speak to my cousin and see if she knows what you can do/ask for.
