DH is going away early early tomorrow morning and isn't coming back till thursday. He asked if I had plans, not really...but

Our bathrooms needs seeing to. and we haven't got around to it.

It just needs some paint, retiling etc nothing big.

So that is what I am going to do Sunday and Monday then I can finish little bits after work on Tuesday and wednesday If i need (I am pg so i'm not exactly fast)

So I went to our shed to see if we had any tiles left over - we do, some white ones great.

But then I also happened across one of my boxes from uni with odd bits in - little storage boxes, soap dishes etc and they are all orange (there must have been a sale on them when I got them)

I like orange. I use to have a yellow bedroom.

I feel orange is a good colour for a bathroom - it does have a fair amount of light.

AIBU to go down to B&Q tomorrow and buy some bright orange paint and have a orange bathroom?

Then I could even see if they have some orange tiles or transfers to put on the tiles and any more orange coloured things - I could even go to home sense and see

AIBU?

My MIL has an orange and White bathroom since last year... Personally I'm not a fan but she loves it.

Orange would be brilliant.

You seem to like being 'unusual' and 'out there'

I think you should also go to B&Q and do the nursery up at a Goth's Palace. Complete with painted skulls.

Tile the bathroom orange and devalue your home. But if you intent to leave feet first, don't get migraines or need to wear make-up go for it.

I will admit to picking an yellow, White and orange bathroom for a client only last week. It was for a funky kids bathroom though. White walls and suite. These panels www.mermaidpanels.com/collection/glass in golden maize for the shower and vanity and an orange floor www.altro.co.uk/Flooring/Safety-Flooring-from-Altro/Altro-Suprema-II.aspx in tangerine.
We also did a lime green version and a porcelain blue one... all for kids ensuites.

I love those pics posted on the first page. I have an orange kitchen so I say yes.

Why not yellow paint, white tiles and orange bits and bobs! I think that would work better than loads of orange.

Btw my bathroom is painted purple, black white and grey tiles and pink rose photo tiles on floor!

My DIL painted a half bath a burnt orange color. It's stunning. Mirror was not great so I bought a bigger one at a store like TJ Maxx, it has an ornate dark gold frame.

My son was not thrilled with the paint color, and he asked my opinion. I loved it to his dismay.

We painted our basement rec room orange. two adjacent walls one shade of orange and the other two slightly different shade. It's beautiful. It beats the former paint job of gray and red with a border (college colors).

I'd go for something much more lively than white tiles. Maybe slate with orange in them.
