Not so much AIBU but am i going to be disappointed.

I have such happy memories of our fisher price play family toys and mum still has them all in the attic (i am 37 so these would be from late 70s). Am wanting to get these down for for my 18 month old (because they are better then what you get now and secondly i am too tight to spend £40 on a piece of plastic he may never play with).

Will all my memories be shattered when DS throws them aside?? Will he get some sort of hideous poisioning?

For info we have the hospital, camper van, farm, (for some reason all the girls were called PATTY)

They were awesome. They are still awesome. PILs get theirs out whenever our DCs are there and they think it's awesome too. The foam beds in the campervan will probably have perished but that's it.

Have you seen how much that stuff goes for on ebay?

yes am deffo going in mums loft at the weekend i think. DS has also taken a likely to matchbox cars and mum still has a big basket full of my bros. They will all be 1970s cars but i'm sure he won't mind
