YABU. They wouldn't put it in the Daily Mail unless it had been thoroughly checked-out.

Oh, she's an utter gem, isn't she!! I've seen her name in thread titles but didn't know who she was until I opened that link and WOW, glad I did, for the Laughing Opportunity alone. And that pic of her and her cat trying to look all lonely ...LOVE it!

I thought the article was hysterical...

I kind of did steal DH's sperm to conceive DD1, but in my defence it has to be said we were trying at the time, we just decided that we didn't want to do the whole intercourse thing just to get a baby because that would put too much strain on the relationship. So we did other stuff.

So instead of washing my hands straight away afterwards, I sort of applied things internally just to see if it would work. Turns out it did, who'd have thought?

This probably makes me a sperm stealer of some kind, but I'm not sorry as we both wanted DD and she has turned out brilliant - wouldn't have wanted a different sperm/egg combo.

Unless of course we're talking about DD2 who was created much more conventionally but is just as brilliant.

Moominsarescary · 03/11/2011 22:28

When ds1 was 14 I sat him down to watch a documentary on teenage pregnancy.

A couple if girls admitted they had told their boyfriends they were on the pill even though they were not taking it because they wanted a baby.

samandi · 04/11/2011 08:26

Barking mad. I've never been able to understand why women want kids with men that don't want them anyway. Just find a man who does - there are plenty around. Or if you really can't and are willing to go it alone then use a sperm bank. Or adopt.

HandMini · 04/11/2011 08:29

Pointy, yes far TMI, but of course you're not a sperm stealer if your DH knew and you were trying to have a baby. Totally different.
