I am not U. I know but i'm afraid this has to be the place to put my rant.

Absolute bollockx.

A secondary school.

New pupil dropped off at gate (almost certainly has a hidden illness and needs regular pills, will be bullied and will collapse dramatically).

Anyway. At this secondary school there s a girl skipping.

Woul never ever happen.

PyrotechnicsAtYourCervix...I was just having a gander at online T.V guide, saw 'Waterloo Road' and thought...Waterloo Road is an actual pile of utter fuckwittery shite.

Fuck me, spooky or what! and it' not even Halloween anymore.

PreviouslyonLost · 02/11/2011 19:37

Feckin' witches and goblins stole my 's' from my 'it'...

Ilanthe · 02/11/2011 19:38

I know where they film it and I can assure you that anyone seen skipping round there would rapidly have their head kicked in.

PyrotechnicsAtYourCervix · 02/11/2011 19:38

D2,who is school phobic and rants about having to go for an hour ever singly bloody morning and refuses to even go to theatre productions in the school theatre is hooked on the pile o shite.

I watched one series last year. It was utter bollocks. Grange Hill had more credibility.

NinkyNonker · 02/11/2011 19:39

I watched the first series for light entertainment but quickly gave up.

mycatsaysach · 02/11/2011 19:41

yy op also did you see how they just drove into an empty car park - total fiction

said · 02/11/2011 19:43

How old are you? Isn't the target audience just teens?

PyrotechnicsAtYourCervix · 02/11/2011 19:43

I just swore quite badly in front of the DDs. i usually keep my potty mouth uder some control (except when driving).

I used to LOVE Waterloo Road - am now watching it thinking (co-incidentally!) "what a pile of utter fuckwittery and shite this has become!"
Tho fellow telly addicts - Frozen Planet at 9 is amazing...

PyrotechnicsAtYourCervix · 02/11/2011 19:46

it's dubious themes aren't pariculalry teenagerish though are they? grown ups having extra-marital relationships and stuff.

just swore again at the shiteness.

i'm fairly sure taht even a shite school and/or parent would have made that known.

shite.

bluebump · 02/11/2011 19:47

I just realised I had it on in the background and read this thread and you are so right - cue dramatic collapse!

PyrotechnicsAtYourCervix · 02/11/2011 19:48

PyrotechnicsAtYourCervix · 02/11/2011 19:49

Thingumy · 02/11/2011 19:50

It's the beebs version of Hollyoaks.

Mandy2003 · 02/11/2011 19:52

My DS (12) liked the last series but can't be bothered with this one. So YANBU and the BBC has lost another viewer!

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 02/11/2011 20:16

I loved Waterloo Road, all of the series prior to the last one. I thought the last one was going downhill with Amanda Burton but this one is worse. :(

PyrotechnicsAtYourCervix · 02/11/2011 20:20

fuck mei want to kill eithermyself or someone else.

how long does it go on for'?>

OP posts:
chickling · 02/11/2011 20:20

I complained to the BBC about the sexual content of Waterloo Road as it's on at 7.30. The reply said that they dealt with serious issues! I'm a teacher and I can say for sure that it's a huge pile of wank. Why isn't that Head arrested for assault? Schools are not really like that. Wonder if doctors think the same watching Holby?

ilovesooty · 02/11/2011 21:31

Schools are not really like that

The last school I taught in was much worse. Hmm

In any case, they have about 6 teachers and seem to be able to leave their classes at the drop of a hat!

GetOrfMo1Land · 02/11/2011 23:40

It is utter, utter, utter GUBBINS.

DD loves it. I always moan when she watches it, I say to her 'you bloody GO to a senior school, you know it's a load of crap'.

She just gives me an annoyingly superior look and carries on watching it.

It makes Grange Hill look like The Wire in compariosn.

DejaWho · 03/11/2011 06:31

I want to work in a school where you just shout "cooler... NOW" and the kid meekly trotts along compliantly, sits down (always at the seat at the back) and gets on with some random work.

In reality - kid would refuse to leave, you'd be left ringing for SMT who wouldn't come for an hour, half the class would join in interrogating you as to the whys and wherefores and if you sent the kid unaccompanied he'd be off out and down the local shopping arcade terrorising OAPs.
