Something happened at 2.45pm which meant I knew I'd be really late picking DD up tonight. I couldn't get anyone else to do it I phoned the school and explained and they said not to worry they'd sort everything out (it was unavoidable and very unplanned but can't go into detail here).

When I finally arrived rushing and embarrassed at 415pm DD's was eating a cheese sandwich with a glass of milk and had done her reading and helped her teacher tidy the classroom

I wanted to kiss her but failing that mumsnetters please vote - wine or chocolate for lovely teacher

As a teacher myself I'd day you've got a good un there! :)
You don't need to buy either - personally I'd be happiest with chocs (can't drink on a school night y'know). But instead just remember she went out of her way next time you think school are being pita about something.

Very few parents I've met actually remember the 'extra' stuff you do for their child.

Chocs would be nice. Its nice to know someone appreciates you, teachers can often feel that parents take the piss so it will brighten her day. :)

Liqueur chocolates? Alcohol and chocolate all in one, and not boozy enough to have to avoid on a school night Wink

As a teacher myself, I'd definitely go for wine...............but maybe that's just me! :o

YABU I was expecting a nice juicy thread about a rather handsome young man who was making eyes at you across the playground leading you to be overcome with inappropriate lust Grin
