I've bought in a load of sweeties, I've carved a pumpkin and put it on the front porch. I've hung up bunting and put on Halloweeny music. I'm wearing a witch's hat. And not one of the ungrateful little feckers has deigned to knock on the door yet. Where the devil are they all? Have I gone to all this effort for nothing??? Or does my house just look unappealing [hhmm]

I haven't had any :( is it because I don't have a pumpkin? I like see the littlest dressed up. But would obviously prefer not to have the type that SB encountered.

Fecklessdizzy · 31/10/2011 19:21

I just had three singing witches! Class ... [hgrin]

LoveInAColdGrave · 31/10/2011 19:25

Fucking hell, ScaredBear, that's awful. I just had a moment of wussiness and didn't open the door when DH had popped out in case it was scary teenagers [hblush].

Well I got all excited and got soem packs of chocolate bars. Had a few littles ones come round with their parents and gave some out, then a gang of ten 14 year olds knocked, so now I've only got 6 choc bars left and they said there is another 8 of them on their way around as they split up.

I'm a bit upset that I didnt realise how much stuff I need to get and now I'll have to answer the door and say I havent got any left to everyone else.

Also, scaredbear, that's terrible. You should call the police. Hope you're feeling ok.

catgirl1976 · 31/10/2011 19:32

Thats horrible SB

We have 2 lots - both lovely and polite - said thank you - only took one sweet each until I told them they could take more

ZombiePlan · 31/10/2011 19:38

ScaredBear that is crap. Can't believe the dad thought you'd given "attitude"... and worse, he actually thought it appropriate to "spark you out" over it. [hangry]

Next door neighbour just stopped her DS from knocking on my door Hmm. No idea why, I heard her as I was on the desktop by the window. Bit pissed off, why the hell would she do that?

Scared, that is bloody awful :(

depob · 31/10/2011 19:58

scaredbear - you got your tub nicked, we've had our two lovely carved pumpkins nicked within 10 minutes of putting them out. Lovely.

SacreLao · 31/10/2011 20:01

We are so lucky that we don't get that round here, would be fuming!

Think we are done for the night now, it's mostly tiny one's around here and I expect they will all now be in bed.

picnicbasketcase · 31/10/2011 20:07

We've only had two lots of two children so far. I'm not bothered, just means we get to eat the sweets.

SB and depob Shock that's awful, hope you're both okay, it's such a shame that a minority of scrotebags have to ruin it for others.

keepingupwiththejoneses · 31/10/2011 20:09

Well we have had the grand total of 1 set of trick or treaters [hboo]. We usually have at least half a dozen.

keepingupwiththejoneses · 31/10/2011 20:10

[hsad]

wasabipeanut · 31/10/2011 20:19

Scared Bear [hshock]

We had quite a few groups round, most of which were parent accompanied. One group of slightly older interesting looking witches.

Totally cleaned out of my big pack of Celebrations and various other mini packs of sweeties I had lurking. Not that I had plans for the Celebrations you understand.

Wizardsofwaverleyplace · 31/10/2011 20:26

Just dragged two random teenagers off the road, as my ds has been clinging to the bowl of goodies all night waiting for the door to ring. So I went outside to see if anyone was about, and two teenage boys were walking past (not trick/treaters) and I said please ring that doorbell, there's a little boy in there desperate to give out sweets.

My ds was so thrilled, and he's now put the bowl down, and said he doesn't need anyone else to come.

So that's halloween completed for us Grin

SacreLao · 31/10/2011 20:28

wizards How cute, bet the teens were a bit confused.

I have now closed the curtain and am done, got loads left so will spend the night eating them :o

TheVampireEmpusa · 31/10/2011 20:29

None here either. Got a whole tin of sweets to eat now!

SauvignonBlanche · 31/10/2011 20:33

minxofmancunia · 31/10/2011 20:56

A boy of about 9 has just called, only young and all on his own and it's nearly 9 o clock, he was lovely and polite as well, that's made me Sad

GuillotinedMaryLacey · 31/10/2011 21:03

I came in from work, lay on the sofa and fell asleep. Consequently house was in darkness and none of the little kids I saw running up and down when I came in have knocked.

What will I do with all this chocolate? Confused
