DD got given a £10 voucher for her birthday. I put it on the mantel piece and told her not to touch it until we went to the shop to spend it. This afternoon I picked her up from school and said we'd go to spend her voucher when we'd droped her stuff off

No voucher. she says she moved it but can't remember where she'd put it. We've hunted its not appearing

AIBU to refuse to replace it for now? (I may replace it in a week or so if it really does not turn up but am not telling her that yet). She's just 6 if that makes any difference

She's just found it - though what it was doiing in her dolls house is anybody's guess. Perhaps the dolls fancied a trip to WH Smith?
