WandersOffMissingMintAero'sTiggaxx

AllGoodNamesGone · 31/10/2011 10:51

Lol, I opened this thinking it was going to be a reverse AIBU which would eventually reveal that someone's DH had done this and given them a box for their birthday with all the best ones eaten and couldn't see a problem with it!

I say do it. You don't want to leave them with too much choice anyway or they will be dithering on your doorstep for ages choosing!

MegBusset · 31/10/2011 10:53

Yabu, you should send all the toffee ones to me

Grin

YANBU but you get about 4 toffee ones so you better hope for very few T/Ters!

I don't like nuts so I could do this and just leave the nutty ones outside with a sign so I don't have to interupt my chocolate eating to answer the door

Mandy2003 · 31/10/2011 11:14

I like the toffee pennies best, but there's never enough of them!

Pancakeflipper · 31/10/2011 11:14

Send the orange creams to me please. I love them.

MamaMaiasaura · 31/10/2011 11:18

Lol I like that, I should change my name to hard-centred tightarse [hgrin]

Toffee pennies are the best in the box, Mmmmm

DejaWho · 31/10/2011 12:38

Green triangles are wasted on the trick or treaters... well, they're wasted on anyone but me really.

Seraphina1 · 31/10/2011 12:40

Qualllllityyy Streeeeet.

I So wanted to live there when I was little, I thought it was a place where rich people lived... the smell as the box was opened on Xmas eve..this was 1976 btw.

My DH has eaten all the TOT sweets so come to ours and you get a banana or a not very nice muffin..enjoy!!

pranma · 31/10/2011 12:46

I dont like green triangles will anyone swap for the purple ones with hazelnut wrapped in gooey caramel please?

pranma · 31/10/2011 12:46

Or is that Roses??

RedHelenB · 31/10/2011 12:49

My kids only like the toffees so its NBU!!

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 31/10/2011 14:02

You ladies ought to run a 'swap shop' really, taste is very subjective. [hgrin]

hopenglory · 31/10/2011 14:10

my mum used to do this when we were little. It was years before we realised that there were actually supposed to be Green Triangles in the tin. She told us they were just for decoration on the outside

MamaMaiasaura · 31/10/2011 14:12

Hopengory [hgrin] lol I like your mums way of thinking there

MamaMaiasaura · 31/10/2011 14:13

DejaWho · 31/10/2011 14:14

The purple ones are so overrated - they're not crunchy or chewy - they do neither well and are just insipid mush of manky hazelnut.

I will never ever ever ever buy into the purple Quality Street hype. Green triangles are where it's at.

I married a man who hates the green triangles - I feel it was a wise decision and evidence of our mutual compatability.

Now for controversy - I don't like the black ones in packs of Jelly Babies - no one can ever understand this.

TheLaineyWayIsEssex · 31/10/2011 14:51

Yabu. The toffee ones are the best. I can't stand the strawberry or orange creme nor the faux bountys. Evil, poor taste 70s food for common people
Wink
i have tin open at the moment with just the manky ones left.

LaFilleSurLePont · 31/10/2011 18:07

The toffees are lovely, though not as nice as the strawberry cremes.

MamaMaiasaura · 31/10/2011 20:33

BlushBlush oops my ds2 (3y) stole sweeties from the trick or treaters. We didn't realise (nor did the kid he stole them from). They got toffees tho (Samuel got their haribos) BlushBlush
