To think if you have paid an extra £9.95 for Saturday delivery then the delivery should arrive on a Saturday?

I mean, seriously, surely it is against trade's description?!
Selected Saturday delivery 8am-1pm today for my Mom's birthday present, it got to 12.30 I was thinking "might still come." Even at 12.59 I was deluding myself that it might just be late.

I am very very very annoyed. And I can't even reach anyone from the delivery company until Monday so I will be cross all day tomorrow too. I know it's petty but it's so annoying! I'd waited in with DS this morning when he was desperate to go out on his bike and paid extra for delivery but it still didn't show up. And if it comes on Monday nobody will be in.

Argh!

yanbu.

it is beyond annoying isn't it!
Johnny Lewis did this to me this week with a new winter duvet for DS (still no duvet) and another company cocked up a delivery of carrier bags to my shop.

BattyDevineIntervention · 29/10/2011 22:07

Make sure you get your delivery charge refunded.

TidyDancer · 29/10/2011 22:09

It's not Yodel that are supposed to be delivering to you, is it?

The crappest delivery company I have ever come across. Can't follow delivery instructions for shite.

Soups · 29/10/2011 22:10

YANBU contact the company you ordered from and moan. Similar happened to me the other week, I told them I'd stayed in all day, and we both worked. They should deliver between 6pm and 8pm next week, no extra charge. Or else they should consider the order cancelled and my delivery charges should be refunded. To my surprise it turned up at 7pm on the Tuesday.

I was absolutely fuming this afternoon! I don't get annoyed that often but it really did annoy me! I was most annoyed because DS had wanted to go out but I said we had to wait in and then by the time I had accepted the sad fact that my parcel was not arriving today it had started to rain and we couldn't go out on DS's bike. So he was cross with me and I was cross with delivery company.
If they've taken money to do something they should do it. Ooooh might have to go and have glass of wine to calm down, feeling cross again now!

YANBU Phone and complain and tell them you expect a refund of the delivery charge.

Jellykat · 29/10/2011 22:21

Huh well what d'ya know.. DS1 has just had to wait 3 weeks to get a delivery from them! - Not turning up at agreed times, and then when they did, they drove off before he'd even got to the bottom of the stairs...Even when he ran along the road after them in his boxers, they didn't stop.

They finally delivered today, but i had to threaten them with all sorts first.. Agree, they're bloody useless!

ouryve · 29/10/2011 22:23

YANBU - you should ask for a refund of the delivery charge.
