DD has been watchin horrid henrey back to back for the last half an hour. Every time I tune in (i'm pottering in the kitchen) all I hear is his mother being bloody negative about him.

I'm going to turn it off now, it's time she got dressed..

It's on now. She sounds a bit soft to me.
It has only just started so I'm not really qualified to comment, but my 8yo ds in answer to my question, said YES, I'd have killed Henry by now if I were his mum

I hate Horrid Henry with a passion but when ds2 was a reluctant reader, the school recommended these books! Ds3 loves them unfortunately but I am planning on gradually losing the collection.

She's full of a cold, it's pissing down, i'm busy tidying because we have freinds coming in a bit and it's half term-but even those are not enough reasons for her to watch anymore episodes of that crap.

I managed to get her to turn over and watch mister maker-and now the telly is going off because she wants to do arty stuff. Brilliant!

If anything it teaches us that naming your children Horrid Henry and Perfect Peter is ASKING for trouble Grin

How about Charlie and Lola as well, do they even HAVE parents??

Pekka · 27/10/2011 20:55

I don't get the point in Horrid Henry, is there a moral to the stories? Love Charlie and Lola. I would name my unborn DS Charlie, if it was easier to pronounce :)
