To think my neighbour must have a lot of time on his hands!

We live on a tree lined Cul-de-sac, and lots of us have trees in our gardens.

Every morning about 11am he comes out with one of those leaf blower things and blows all the leaves off his drive, lawn and the path outside his house.

He does it every morning for about half an hour. He seems oblivious to the fact that they always blow back because he cant control the wind.

Confused

Buy him a leaf hoover, that'll solve his issue

fuzzynavel · 26/10/2011 16:03

Bless him.

TheVampireEmpusa · 26/10/2011 16:04

One of our neighbours regularly washes his garden path with soapy water [hgrin] There are some strange people out there

TheProvincialLady · 26/10/2011 16:05

He must work for the council. Round here they employ people to sweep up leaves and build pointy little heaps. Then walk off and leave them.

Moomim · 26/10/2011 16:12

buy him a rake for christmas

Mandy2003 · 26/10/2011 16:16

Can anyone tell me What the Actual Fuck a Leafblower is For? All I've ever seen them used for is as ProvincialLady describes. Please, I'm not joking, what is the point?

MrsTwinks · 26/10/2011 16:20

Mandy2003 leafblowers are also for blowdrying your grass, every lawn needs a good wash and set from time to time Wink

I have a neighbour who can be seen in her garden every morning at around
2/3 am in her dressing gown and slippers picking slugs off her plants!!

I understand being a proud gardener but seriously, picking the bloody slugs off, just buy the repellant!

larakitten · 26/10/2011 19:07

Ha ha I read that as picking slugs off her pants.......Confused

Must read more carefully in future.

SacreLao · 26/10/2011 20:17

Now that would be strange Hmm

Beaverfeaver · 26/10/2011 20:19

I used to have a neighbour who used to pick the dead leaves off of her trees.
When bin day came around she would make sure that her bins were not outside her house, but outside someone elses.
She cleans her windows every other day.
She bleaches her front door step - regulary
She picks the moss out from the brick paving on her driveway
