To think that you do not adhere to the packing protocol in Aldi, you should be banned?

It's not hard. It's load. Pack into trolley. Pay. Go and pack your shopping up like a snail at your own pace at the packing shelf.

I think that Aldi should employ someone with one of those big hoops on a long pole and when someone looks like they are going to start limp-wristedly packing their bags at the till/mouthbreathing over cashier going too fast, the hoop man gets the faffer around the neck with the hoop and drags them out. They are then banned from Aldi for ever.

Banhammered from Aldi, ha ha ha ha! The shame!

Surely it takes longer to put stuff in a trolley rather than a carrier bag as the trolley will be a furhter distance?

Grin Squishy How much were you worth when she scanned you??

mousyfledermaus · 26/10/2011 19:21

viva the counter ends directly next to the scanner, so there is only room for carton of milk, really.

BrEEEKOutTheKaraoke · 26/10/2011 19:40

It's so worth the rush when you look at your trolley full of crap goodies, gulp at the thought of the cost, then gasp "really?!" as the cashier asks for £26.73. Can't do a trolley full of food in Tescos for less than about £60, and thats all value stuff, and not many treats. About 40% of my shopping in Aldi is biscuits!

Tadley I remember the wooden dividers and they were useful and sensible. Sainsbo had a store in the centre of our town with these into the late 80s. Little shop well used, shut when out of town shop opened and now a T.... Express. Tlk about full circle.

I love the supermarket in val disere I was in a while back. There is a hole in the top just past the scanner. In the hole is a carrier bag, the assistant puts the groceries in the bag/hole. Then when the bag is full they press a button and the bag disappears under the till and then comes out a flap at the end of the till.

Theres an aldi opened up in town last week so I might go and have a look round.
